Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments has announced the release of its ADSL 2+ tester, a hand held communication instrument used for installation, maintenance, tier-1 ADSL application and testing. It is commonly used as a digital multi-meter to test subscriber telephone connectivity and line parameters. The ADSL2+ Tester provides upstream and downstream rate measurement, error count, line error, digital multi meter (DMM) test functions, modem simulation, and PING and Trace testing. Its compact size and rugged design make it a perfect tool for ADSL technicians and engineers for field use.
This portable tester, model A0300031, features voice and LED alarm and tests ADSL2+ (G.992.5), ADSL2 (G.992.3), RE-ADSL (Annex L), Double Upstream (Annex M) and downwards compatible with ADSL (G.DMT, G.Lite, T1.43). This powerful tester uses Windowsâ„¢ CE operating system and provides a Web browser using a 4.3 inch large size display with backlit and chromatic touch screen, smart navigation menu. It starts test automatically and displays the results with a simple press of the “Auto Test” key. Test settings and results can be saved and deleted through the upgradeable embedded software. The low-power consumption device with an auto turn-off function can work continuously for more than 3.5 hours using its rechargeable built-in Li-ion battery or the unit can be operated using the external charger. The tester has a jacket protector with lanyard and bracket stand.
