Easy- to- use ADSL2+ Tester Features Voice and LED Alarm

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments has announced the release of its ADSL 2+ tester, a hand held communication instrument used for installation, maintenance, tier-1 ADSL application and testing. It is commonly used as a digital multi-meter to test subscriber telephone connectivity and line parameters. The ADSL2+ Tester provides upstream and downstream rate measurement, error count, line error, digital multi meter (DMM) test functions, modem simulation, and PING and Trace testing. Its compact size and rugged design make it a perfect tool for ADSL technicians and engineers for field use.

This portable tester, model A0300031, features voice and LED alarm and tests ADSL2+ (G.992.5), ADSL2 (G.992.3), RE-ADSL (Annex L), Double Upstream (Annex M) and downwards compatible with ADSL (G.DMT, G.Lite, T1.43). This powerful tester uses Windowsâ„¢ CE operating system and provides a Web browser using a 4.3 inch large size display with backlit and chromatic touch screen, smart navigation menu. It starts test automatically and displays the results with a simple press of the “Auto Test” key. Test settings and results can be saved and deleted through the upgradeable embedded software. The low-power consumption device with an auto turn-off function can work continuously for more than 3.5 hours using its rechargeable built-in Li-ion battery or the unit can be operated using the external charger. The tester has a jacket protector with lanyard and bracket stand.

Multi-function Ethernet Analyzer

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments has released its portable 10/100/1000m Ethernet analyzer which tests data rates and performance metrics including throughput, latency, frame loss and back-to-back frames. It is an ideal tool for analyzing and troubleshooting Ethernet networks during the processes of construction or maintenance.

The 10/100/1000M Ethernet analyzer, model A0300004, offers two working modes: dual-port mode and remote testing mode. Handheld Signal Level Analyzer Features CATV Testing

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments has released its high-performance handheld signal level analyzer operating over a frequency range of 5 to 870MHz. It is specifically designed and manufactured for CATV engineers and technicians to facilitate installation and testing of CATV systems. It measures CATV TILT, C/N and trunk cable voltage and has auto-off time setup, channel plan selection, channel amending, channel sorting and channel editing functions.

This portable signal level analyzer, model A0500014, is small in size and light in weight and has a large LCD screen for clear display of test results. It tests CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTRUM) modes. In ‘SCAN’ mode, the analyzer is able to scan all channels and record signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. Multi-function Portable ADSL2+ Tester

RF Synthesized Radio Frequency Signal Generator

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments recommends its synthesized signal radio frequency (RF) generator which can be used in applications such as scientific research, production and general RF testing. On UHF receivers, it can measure selectivity, sensitivity, inter-nodulation distortion, AM rejection, AGC response, audio hum, noise and distortion and STAND ratio. Its flexible step sweep and list sweep functions provide control over output frequency and power.

This synthesized RF signal generator, model A0200001, offers abundant modulation functions including amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, phase modulation and pulse modulation. It works over a wide frequency range of 250kHz to 2GHz at an accuracy of ±0.5dB and from 2GHz to 4GHz at an accuracy of ±0.9dB. The built-in modulation signal generator features a GPIB remote control function, 10MHz frequency resolution, and a wide output power range from -136dBm to 7dBm. When its source power output is less than 4dBm, its spectral purity is less than -30dBc, and when its source power output is less than 7dBm and frequency deviation is more than 3kHz, its spectral purity is less than -53dBc.

High Performance Cable Fault Locator

Signal Level Meter with Peak-Hold Function

Ultra-compact USB PC Based Oscilloscope
