Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments has launched its Radio Frequency (RF) signal generator. It is a synthesized signal generator which features AM (Amplitude Modulation), FM (Frequency Modulation) and FM Stereo modulation .This signal generator is widely used in research, development and production testing of AM/FM receivers, civil-band transceivers, radio remote-control toys and wireless telephones.

This RF signal generator, model A0230005, features a compact size, light weight and preset functions for simple operation. It is a highly accurate instrument with a wide frequency range of 300 kHz to 300 MHz. It offers an RF output range of -8 to 120 dBµ at a resolution of 0.1 dB. This signal generator performs both automatic and manual testing. In FM modulation, the distortion is less than 0.3%; while in AM modulation, the distortion is less than 0.65%. Both RS-232C and IEEE-488 (GPIB) interfaces are available for the generator. Using these interfaces, the instrument can be formed into an automatic test system under the control of a host computer together with other instruments. In addition, it has a storage memory of 100 points.

This multi-function RF signal generator belongs to GAO’s family of Logic Analyzers and Generators. The line of products also includes DDS Function /Arbitrary Generator/Counter which creates stable and accurate output signals, low distortion sine waves and a wide selection of standard and arbitrary waveforms; Digital RF Millivoltmeter and Frequency Counter which is an essential instrument for workshop production and laboratory ultra-high frequency voltage measurements and Digital Function Generator.
