Portable Digital Scope w/FFT for Electronic Circuit

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its portable digital scope with FFT. It is commonly used for electronic circuit debugging, circuit testing, design and manufacture, education and training, automobile maintenance and testing.

This 2 channel digital storage oscilloscope, model A0110001, features 20 types of automatic measurements. It is available in three different bandwidths of 25, 60 or 100 MHz and comes with 2 passive probes which are switchable between 1:1 and 10:1 input ratio. This unit can detect the average and peak values of a waveform and can store up to 5000 waveform points per channel.

The series of digital storage oscilloscopes provide real-time sampling rates from 100 to 250 MSa/s and rise time from less than 14 ns to 3.5 ns. The digital scope provides an autoscale function, multiple-waveform calculation function, FFT function and automatic settings function for fast set up. It offers advanced triggering functions including edge trigger, video trigger and alternate trigger. In addition, this portable digital scope uses RS232 or USB interfaces for data storage and printing.

USB PC-Based Logic Analyzer Features a Variety of Digital Information Capture Functions

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its multi-function logic analyzer which uses advanced large-scale integrated circuits, high-frequency digital circuits, embedded systems and the other advanced technologies. It is an ideal tool for the troubleshooting and performance verification of digital circuits.

This easy-to-use USB PC-based logic analyzer, model A0220001, combines the functions of a multi-channel oscilloscope and other automatic testing instruments into one unit. It is capable of measuring 34 channels at 500 MHz and allows for simultaneously observing a sizeable amount of data and data flow direction control information. It identifies error conditions and locates faults in the source code.

The logic analyzer features a variety of digital information capture functions, Burr-detection ability, a large memory capacity, and multiple trigger modes. It has a delay function to capture the waveforms prior to or behind the required observation points. Intuitive and flexible displays return dynamic analysis results in binary, decimal, hexadecimal or ASCII format to facilitate debugging. The analyzer has an input voltage range of -60 to 60 V and a logic threshold range from -6 to 6 V. Inputs include TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, LVCOMS, ECL, PECL and EIA. In addition, the analyzer operates under Windows 2000, Windows XP, VISTA systems and is controlled and powered via USB2.0 interface.

Reliable DDS Function Generator

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its DDS function generator which is suitable for many general-purpose tests and bench applications such as in development, testing and repair of electronic equipment.

This advanced function generator, model A0230006, uses direct digital synthesis (DDS) technology and generates a variety of precise wave forms including Sine, Square, and Pulse over a frequency range of 40 µHz to 5 MHz. It provides a stable output waveform down to 1 mV (50 Ω) and has a waveform length of 1024 points. Three burst modes are available including internal, external and single. This DDS function generator offers protection against over voltage, over current, short circuit and reverse voltage.

The generator ensures simple operation by providing a high resolution TFT LCD display, key operation for all function, menu display, and rotary dial adjustment. It includes both an RS-232 interface and a USB interface as standard. These interfaces can be used for remote control of all of the instrument’s functions and for storing instrument set-ups. The generator can store 40 groups of settings.

Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Frequency Counter Using DDS Technology

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its arbitrary waveform generator and frequency counter which can read waveform data files produced by Tektronix oscilloscopes or Tektronix waveform editor software.

This portable arbitrary waveform generator, model A0210001, operates over a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 5 MHz at a resolution of 0.01 Hz. It has one channel of 8-bit arbitrary synchronized waveform output, two 8-bit input channels for counter/frequency measurement and external trigger input. It generates regular waveforms such as Sine, Square, Triangle, Saw-tooth, TTL, White Noise, Gaussian Noise, Trapezoid, Exponent and AM and FM signals. Parameters such as amplitude, frequency and offset are programmable.

Using DDS technology, it provides high frequency accuracy, high waveform resolution, high reliability and wide software compatibility. Shipped with both SDK and API, it can be easily integrated or embedded into other auto-measuring systems. In addition, this arbitrary waveform generator and frequency counter features USB interface and is bus-powered. It is compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. With DAC clock, it is 0 to 50 MHz continuously adjustable in step of 0.2 Hz.
