Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its double clamp earth resistance tester which is commonly used in the testing of soil resistivity and leakage current of grounding systems under different conditions. The earth resistance tester integrates a voltage-inducing transformer and a current-sensing transformer to check ground resistance of transformers, anti-lightning systems, high voltage power towers and communication equipment.
This easy-to-use earth resistance tester, model A0E10002, provides a self-check function and automatic frequency control (AFC) function which minimizes interference. It performs on-line measurement, serial testing, and tests the RMS of leakage current and the soil resistivity with high accuracy. The earth resistance tester allows an earth resistance range from 0 to 19.99 kΩ and a leakage current measurement range of 0.0 to 19.9 A. It has a memory capacity of 250 groups and communicates with a computer for data uploading. It is powered by 6 V DC, 4 × 1.5 V AA alkaline dry battery or 4.8 V DC, 4 × 1.2 V AA Ni-MH rechargeable battery.
This intelligent double clamp earth resistance tester belongs to GAO’s family of Earth Ground Testers. The similar product in the line is Single Clamp Earth Tester which goes beyond the limitations of traditional methods of earth resistance testing as it does not require the disconnection of the ground wire. This line of products also includes Handheld Earth Ground Tester and Portable DC Ground Fault Locator which are widely used in detecting reliable ground connections and measuring earth ground resistance.
