Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments is offering its DDS arbitrary function generator/counter. It uses VFD (visible vacuum fluorescent) techniques to create stable and accurate output signals with a wide selection of low distortion standards and arbitrary waveforms. This digital generator/counter is designed for such applications as communication equipment testing and electronic components production.
This direct digital synthesis (DDS) arbitrary function generator and counter, model A0230002, features convenient data input via knob or numerical keyboard and remote SCPI compatible program-control via RS232, GPIB, and USB interfaces. It implements continuous phase adjustment function in trig mode. It also allows for the arbitrary setting of AM modulation from 1% to 120% and the setting of start and end frequency for frequency scan output.
The DDS arbitrary function generator and counter boasts high pulse duty ratio resolution of up to 0.001, high resolution and accuracy of digital FM and 0.1° phase adjustment resolution. It provides standard or internal storage of 27 fixed waveforms and 8 to 16000 configurable memory points for arbitrary waveforms. In addition, the generator can store and recall 10 groups of settings.
This DDS arbitrary function generator/counter belongs to GAO’s family of Logic Analyzers and Generators. This line also includes Digital RF Millivoltmeter and Frequency Counter which utilizes a new kind of micro-controller and measures sinusoidal signal voltage over a wide frequency range of 10 kHz to 2000 MHz, Radio Frequency Signal Generator which features AM and FM modulation functions, Digital Function Generator and DDS Function Generator which is used in development, testing and repair of electronic equipment. The line of products is generally used in designing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic or electro acoustic devices.
