It is specially designed for R&D, production, installation and maintenance of SDH, PDH, PCM and DATA protocol conversion. It provides BER testing, alarm analysis, performance analysis and signal analysis. This easy-to-use tester is an ideal device for fast problem resolution, E1 PCM line access, maintenance and acceptance testing.

This compact E1 Bit Error Rate (BER) Tester, model A0040007, performs both out-of-service framed and unframed testing. It offers full-featured measurements of E1, Datacom and protocol converter and provides extensive error detection and indication such as real-time transmission circuit open/short indication. It also conducts clock slip measurement, frequency and level measurement as well as manual and auto-timer measurement. Test results can be viewed, analyzed, assembled, filed and printed via included software that is upgradeable via an integrated RS232C interface. It possesses a large memory capacity and saves/recalls of up to ten user-defined setups and ten sets of results. What’s more, this tester boasts a high resolution LCD with smart navigation mode menus, built-in Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and smart charger circuitry.
